Skiing at Heavenly is one of those things you just must do, and you can go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail       - section 13. Carson River Resort is a pleasant campground nearby, and there's splendid hiking along the Charity Valley Trail. For the period of the long summer days at Dry Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Dry Lake through the winter ordinarily plunge into the 20's. You just ought to go for the Northern Sierra Nevada.
