Dry Lake is generally a rather arid place; most of the rain falls during January while July is usually the driest month. Markleeville Campground is a nice campground nearby, needless to say you could also pop by Indian Creek Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. Dry Lake is a spot with many visitors from Gardnerville Ranchos, and dry warm beds await you

The slopes of Heavenly are so inviting noone can resist, and close by Little Cottonwood Canyon is a splendid site to go. That right there is a load of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. If you came for an overnight | |
