Drinkwater Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Prospect Campground is a good local campground; a lake nearby is Castaic Lake. This lake is so wonderful. that you could take a look at, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Near Six Flags-Magic Mountain. Drinkwater Reservoir is a location that is quite dry commonly; February is when you get the most rain here while July is usually
the driest month. There's whitewater on Piru Creek for all you adrenaline people, and there's tremendous hiking along the Warm Springs Necktie Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Drinkwater Reservoir
while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Drinkwater Reservoir.

I remember listening to the Rolling Stones on it as well as others....Yes, I would love to see pics of it. We used to go every year back in the 60's. They had a big jukebox and dance floor, great pool! We had so much fun !...Munz lake was a great place to camp back in the 1060's. My parents use to take us there. Fishing and a nice sized pool on the east end. I think that's all gone now. If anyone out there has pictures, could you please upload to this web site ? I'd sure appreciate it.... |

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
