The Glacier Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork. Through the warm days of summer at Downey Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Downey Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
