That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Dorris Reservoir has it all. It's a tremendous idea to visit Gleason Creek, it's near Dorris Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Pine Creek Trail. Teal Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and you don’t have to go far from       Dorris Reservoir to see the water at Dorris Dam. At Dorris Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Alturas is a glorious place to get some rest, and Big Sage Campground is a pleasant local campground. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Trailside Inn, and if you get bored of Dorris Reservoir you could also go to close                  by Duck Pond. At Dorris Reservoir during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's.
