Dorothy Lake is right by the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Mammoth Mountain around here. All our national parks are wonderful places to visit, and Devils Postpile National Monument is no exception. There's so much to do here at Dorothy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Grove Campground is a magnificent place for that. It is very       dry here at Dorothy Lake regularly; January is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Dorothy Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. San Joaquin River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Lakes are glorious; Buck Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Dorothy Lake. High temperatures at Dorothy Lake through the months of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it                  cools down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Dorothy Lake. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. At Dorothy Lake you can observe Round Valley Peak, and Dorothy Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Inlet Campground is a fine local campground. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Dorothy Lake.
