Beautiful Dorothy Lake has much to offer visitors. There's great hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and nearby you discover Ebbetts Pass which is a wonderful spot to have a look at. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. What would winter be without some skiing at Bear Valley; a lovely lake like Kinney Reservoir is a glorious site to explore.

and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dorothy Lake; Burnside Lake Trail is a good local trail, and Dorothy Lake is a great place to camp, Bloomfield Campground is a great place.
