Beautiful Doris Lake has much to offer visitors. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll go for Doris Lake. The sights at Devils Postpile National Monument will blow your mind. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is abundant here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and it's a great idea to check out Bear Creek. After a long day outdoors Snowcreek Resort is a great place to spend a night or two, and there are good sites to look at along the Red Mountain Trail. If you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - South Fork offers some tremendous whitewater, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake Thomas A Edison. This lake is so wonderful. | |

There's so much to do here at Doris Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bolsillo Campground is a brilliant location for that, and Mammoth Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff.
This is no place for people who
don’t like to have fun. Mono Meadow is a beautiful spot any time of year, and float down the rapids of Mono Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada; you get a great sight of
Devils Table from here. Doris Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
Doris Lake gets very little precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain while June is typically the driest month. During
the summer months highs here at Doris Lake get into the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Doris Lake tend to be
in the 20's. Don't leave Doris Lake without first going for a hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail, and Doris Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Vermilion Campground is a fine local campground.
