The Central Sierra Nevada is so good! A spree to Devils Postpile National Monument is recommended; Mono Meadow is a good site to check out. For the duration of the summertime here at Doris Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's while Doris Lake nighttime low temperatures through the       winter are in the 20's. Near Doris Lake you discover the Red Mountain Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; a delightful place for whitewater paddling is San Joaquin River - South Fork. Doris Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Vermilion Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby, and you can run the rapids of Mono Creek. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. At Doris                  Lake you can distinguish Devils Table; if you're here, you could also pop by wonderful Lake Thomas A Edison. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are really plentiful here at Doris Lake. There are brilliant places to explore along the Mammoth Rock Trail. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Bear Creek since you're here at Doris Lake, and Snowcreek Resort is a great place to get some rest. Bolsillo Campground is a splendid local campground; what would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain. So much amusing stuff near Doris Lake, absolutely unbelievable. Going for a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and the slopes of Sierra Summit are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Tule Lake in the neighborhood of Doris Lake, it's a lovely lake; dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada.
