From Donnell                  Lake you get a great view of Dome Rock; Dodge Ridge has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. Burgson Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; there are plenty of people from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge here. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If the weather is nice here at Donnell Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13; Donnell Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Mill Campground is a good site to camp nearby. Donnell Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the snow falls during January; July is the month with the least moisture. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
