Go to Donnell Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The nice folks of Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge like to hang out close by, and everyone loves Horse Meadow. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff to do in close proximity to Donnell Lake. It's a splendid idea to stop by Niagara Creek, it's next to Donnell Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Bear Valley. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.

A splendid location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Donnell Lake is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and a tremendous place to camp here at Donnell Lake is Mill Campground. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a good time. From Donnell Lake you acquire a brilliant panorama of Dome Rock, and there are other
spots here than Donnell Lake, for example Burgson Lake. Hiking along the Emigrant Trail is magnificent fun; why not camp at Cascade Campground since you're here at Donnell Lake. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you
might not ever wanna return back home again. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and you can hit the slopes at Dodge Ridge in the neighborhood.
Donnell Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the snow is January, and July on the other hand is the driest.
