It's always fun to stop by Donkey Lake. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Around Donkey Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a wonderful time. Mount Thompson is uncomplicated to spot from Donkey Lake. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are pleasant places to take a look at, and Devils Postpile National Monument is no exception; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Kings River Trail. Donkey Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Sabrina Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is magnificent fun. of the summertime months here at Donkey Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows at Donkey Lake through
the wintertime generally dip into the 20's.
You can run the rapids of Kings River - Middle Fork next to Donkey Lake, and if you need a place to stay Bishop-Days Inn is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. San Joaquin
River - South Fork is a fine whitewater spot in close proximity to Donkey Lake; a lake nearby is Emerald Lakes.
Donkey Lake really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a pleasant site to
get some rest; do explore Darwin Creek while you're here at Donkey Lake. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. What would a place like Donkey Lake be without interesting nearby
characteristics like Powell Glacier, as expected you could also take a look at Lake Sabrina since you're here; it's not far at all.
