You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all       the amusing things in the Central Sierra Nevada. Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations near Donkey Lake that are fine to go to, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Around Donkey Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
