This lake is one of the great places here in the San Bernardino Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more enjoyable stuff to do in the San Bernardino Mountains. On a great day at Dollar Lake you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail, and a pleasant visit to Horse Meadows is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The amount of rain that falls at Dollar Lake is close to the national average; January is       the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. The San Bernardino Mountains is a major mark of the vicinity around Dollar Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Dollar Lake Trail. For the duration of the days of summer at Dollar Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dollar Lake are                  in the 20's. So much entertaining stuff to do at Dollar Lake, so little time. There's so much to do here at Dollar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oso-Lobo Campground is a good site for that, and one of the major highlights of the surroundings of Dollar Lake is Charlton Peak. The slopes of Bear Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and Dollar Lake Saddle is another good location to stop at nearby. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Big Bear Lake Chateau, and the friendly people of Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Snow Lake Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Dry Lake Trail. This location is great, just look at all the cool stuff to do close to Dollar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Snow Summit, and Dollar Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Council Campground is a delightful local campground. Just can't get enough of the San Bernardino Mountains.
