Diamond Peak is a peak you can make out from Dollar Lake, and hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section is great fun. Summer at Dollar Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime       comes with highs in the 40's while Dollar Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Around Dollar Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most while June is ordinarily the driest month.
