     Summertime at Dog Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Dog Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is The Ahwahnee, and Dog Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Tioga Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Just can't get  
   enough of Dog Lake. Don't leave Dog Lake without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1, and get drenched paddling on Tenaya Creek.
A quick spree to Dana Fork near Dog Lake is a delightful idea; nice hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and float down the rapids of Tuolumne River in a kayak. Put some
 
               time aside to spend at Soda Springs if you're here at Dog Lake; Young Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
Lembert Dome is painless to spot from Dog Lake; Sawmill Campground is a fine local campground. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a nice time. Don’t forget to explore Moraine Flat if you're here at Dog Lake, and skiing at June Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do. So many enjoyable things to do at Dog Lake, so little time.
Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back home again. Go for a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and if you get bored of Dog Lake you could also pop by close by Elizabeth Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Dog Lake is typically a reasonably waterless place; the month with most of the snow is January while October is commonly the driest month.
