Tenaya Creek is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Dog Lake, and after a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's while Dog Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
