Why not stop by Doe Lake if you're passing through these parts. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is excellent! The peak of Bath Mountain can be distinguished from Doe Lake; Best Western Ruby Inn is a nice location to get some rest. You absolutely must go for Doe Lake. Tenaya Creek is a great whitewater spot near Doe Lake, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1.

| | Summertime highs at Doe Lake generally tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Doe Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.

to do here at Doe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Paho Campground is a nice spot for that, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.
Stay the night at Tenaya Lake Campground. Lakes? Sure, Shamrock Lake is in close proximity. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you're here at Doe Lake,
you could check out Big Meadow Creek, and Benson Pass is close at hand, and is a magnificent spot.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; you can run the rapids of Tuolumne River.
