What a nice lake Dixon Reservoir is. All the outdoors fun things in the Santa Rosa Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. There are some good whitewater spots on Los Penasquitos Creek, and obviously, all our national parks are nice places to explore and Cabrillo National Monument is no exception. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Dixon Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Dixon Lake is a great local campground, and nice hiking

| | is available along the Magee Trail. It is very waterless here at Dixon Reservoir generally; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest.
Dixon Reservoir is located in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Yeah, come up here to the Santa Rosa Mountains for a nice time. You'll meet a lot of people from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos here; if you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Escondido is a tremendous choice. This lake | |

is so wonderful. Howard Johnson Express Inn - Escondido is a fine site to get some rest; you can go for a hike on the Gomez Trail.
If you come at the right time of year, Escondido Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and camping
at Oakvale Park is always a good experience. High temperatures at Dixon Reservoir during the summer months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally
in the 60's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Dixon Reservoir plunge into the 40's. Golf can be played at Woods Valley Golf Club, and there are good spots to look at along the Mission Trail.
