If you are in Nevada county it's always a good idea to stop by Diggins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lafayette Ridge Trail, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Yuba River - Middle Fork. Deer Creek Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest, and this is a popular site for folks from Truckee-Grass Valley. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Since you're here at Diggins Pond why not

| | stop at Pan Ravine, and why not a little side trip to Humbug Creek.
Diggins Pond is right by the South Yuba Trail, and after a long day outdoors Nevada City Inn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. So much fun stuff to do here at Diggins Pond, too pleasant to be true. Bear Trap Spring is a pretty place to go to while you're at Diggins Pond, and Buck Mountain is clearly visible from Diggins Pond. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. | |

A glorious location to camp here at Diggins Pond is Chute Hill Campground, and there's whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers.
Summertime at Diggins Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During
the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Diggins Pond tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. The Humbug Trail
offers hiking at its best, and why not camp at Shonter Hill Campground since you're here at Diggins Pond.
Diggins Pond is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Diggins Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
