All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back repeatedly. American River - South Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Dicks Lake, and Lester Beach is a wonderful beach to pop by. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do near Dicks Lake. If the weather is great here at Dicks Lake, you can go for a hike along the Red Peak Trail, and       you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Fontanillis Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. While you're here at Dicks Lake you can take a hike along the General Creek Trail; Dicks Pass is a good spot to spend some time. Dicks Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; during January this area sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not enough hours                  in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork, and do have a look at Half Moon Lake, it's a beautiful lake. There's so much to do here at Dicks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bayview Campground is a pleasant site for that, and one of the dominant features of the surroundings of Dicks Lake is Dicks Peak. This lake is so wonderful. A day at wonderful Baldwin Beach right next door to Dicks Lake is a glorious thing to do, and you can stay the night at Eagle Falls Campground. Here at Dicks Lake there are plenty of people from Gardnerville Ranchos, and after a long day outdoors Pistantes Coyote Den is a delightful place to spend a night or two. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Dicks Lake, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a fine time. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Dicks Lake. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Dicks Lake during the wintertime frequently plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski!
