Through the months of summer here at Diaz Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Diaz Lake sink into the 20's. Diaz Lake in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Going       for a hike on the Pat Keyes Trail is always a glorious adventure; at Diaz Lake you always meet someone from Bishop. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Diaz Lake you can play some golf at MT Whitney Golf Course. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Sierra Nevada. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada, too wonderful to be true. There are good locations to explore along the Mount Whitney Trail; dry warm beds                  await you at Comfort Inn Lone Pine. Man, is there a heap of entertaining stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. This is a wonderful area for folks who like lakes. Hidden Lake is a lake close at hand, and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is a nice local destination. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Muir Lake is a lake that's close to Diaz Lake, and a short journey to Indian Spring is always worthwhile. If you need a place to stay Best Western Frontier Motel is a nice choice, and Diaz Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Diaz Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Diaz Lake gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and October is when it's the driest.
