This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Diamond Lake. Visiting Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and you're probably into lakes, Summit Lake is one of those nearby. Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Trinity River,
   and everyone loves Black Basin.
This lake is so wonderful. Stone Face is a tremendous place to stop at while in the region, and Diamond Lake is right by the Deacon Lee Trail. If you're here, you might as well have a look at Deer Creek Pass, and camping at Rush Creek Campground is always a delightful experience. From a rain point of view Diamond Lake is a rather typical spot; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest of the months is July.

And if that's not sufficient there's a load more entertaining stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. There's whitewater on Coffee Creek for all you thrill seekers, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Luella Lake is just a very short distance away. Throughout the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Diamond Lake while night lows are generally in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Diamond Lake tend to be in the 20's. Diamond Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Stoney Point Campground is a wonderful local campground, and Red Mountain is clearly visible from Diamond Lake.
This lake is so wonderful.

I worked at a couple marinas in the late 70's and early 80's. The fishing was great, skiing was great, camping was great! Yep, a GREAT place to work or live near. The BEST for a vacation away from the city....

Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's.   Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge.  Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California....
