    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Diamond Lake. Coffee Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot near Diamond Lake; don't leave Diamond Lake without first checking out Stone Face. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Black Basin is a splendid place here at Diamond Lake. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Klamath Mountains. There's so much to do here  
   at Diamond Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stoney Point Campground is a magnificent place for that, and there are other places here than Diamond Lake, for example Deer Lake.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. From Diamond Lake you get a tremendous sight of Red Mountain, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a fine place nearby. The Deacon Lee Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Diamond Lake, and a splendid
 
               place for whitewater paddling is Trinity River. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Deer Creek Pass is always fun, and Diamond Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Rush Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Diamond Lake is close to the national average; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. For the duration of the warm months at Diamond Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Diamond Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.
