Having a nice time at Devils Oven Lake is simple. The summit of Basin Peak can be seen from Devils Oven Lake, and going for a hike on the Warren Lake Trail is always a nice adventure. without first going for a hike along the Lola Montez Trail, and you can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork.
Go for a hike on the Mount Lola Trail, and why not camp at Independence Lake Campground while you're here at Devils
Oven Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Donner Ski Ranch; a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Fordyce Creek. Having a nice time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is painless. Dry
warm beds await you at The Inn At Truckee; close by you locate Castle Pass which is a great place to go to.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All the water falling down from the sky makes
Devils Oven Lake a wet site; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the warm months highs here at Devils Oven Lake get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend
down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Devils Oven Lake are in the 20's.
