    Devils Lake is a lake worth visiting. Looking for a splendid journey? Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is reasonably near Devils Lake; hiking along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is pleasant fun. There are other places here than Devils Lake, for example Pond Lily Lake, and do take a hike on the Echo Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Tree House Motor Inn is a wonderful choice, and camping is available  
   at Jackass Spring Campground.
And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Devils Lake. Going for a hike along the Castle Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and drift down the rapids of Trinity River - East Fork in a kayak. Not much rain falls here at Devils Lake; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Trinity River offers some
 
               delightful whitewater, and a perfect place to camp here at Devils Lake is Coffee Creek Campground and RV.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Devils Lake, you'll find Grouse Lake which is a gorgeous lake; Gozem Peak is pretty and can be seen from here. Summertime highs at Devils Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Devils Lake.

Gregory Creek is better but has been closed for many years due to the eagles nesting. Invest in wasp traps!
