Devils Hole Lake is a quite wet place commonly with a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Kirkwood, and nearby you hit upon the Charity Valley Trail which is a great hiking trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but       if it's for you then we recommend American River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Machado Postpiles is an attention-grabbing location to go to while at Devils Hole Lake; a short visit to Horse Thief Spring is always worthwhile. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A great nearby hotel is Best Tahoe West Inn, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Emigrant Trail. But wait,                  there's more to do near Devils Hole Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Mokelumne River - North Fork offers some glorious whitewater, and Beebe Lake is a good lake nearby. If you need a site to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great choice; do set aside some time for Ladeux Meadow while you're here at Devils Hole Lake. For the period of the summer months here at Devils Hole Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Devils Hole Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came to camp Ferguson Point Campground is a perfect location to do that, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Hawley Grade Trail. Devils Hole Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
