     This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain, and a good nearby hotel is Snowcreek Resort. Devils Bathtub is ordinarily a pretty dry place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sierra Summit since you're here.
 
   Go for a hike on the Red Mountain Trail; there's whitewater on San Joaquin River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Devils Bathtub, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, mostly in the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Devils Bathtub. But wait, there's more entertaining things to  
               do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Devils Bathtub called the Sherwin Lakes Trail; if you've had enough of Devils Bathtub, Graveyard Lakes is close by.
Having a splendid time in the Central Sierra Nevada is trouble-free. Graveyard Peak is uncomplicated to spot from Devils Bathtub, and going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Devils Bathtub is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area next to Devils Bathtub has to offer. Stay the night at Upper Vermillion Campground, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Anne Lake is just a very short distance away.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Mono Creek, and Devils Bathtub is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Vermilion Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. And that's not all you can do here at Devils Bathtub. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a fine place to spend a night or two, and everyone loves Twin Meadows.
