    Depressed Lake is a lake worth visiting. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Lower Blayney Campground while you're here at Depressed Lake, and the slopes of Sierra Summit are so inviting nobody can resist. A tremendous spot to camp here at Depressed Lake is Jackass's Meadows Campground, and you'll discover a lovely lake called Apollo Lake. If only every site had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it  
   would be. Float down the rapids of San Joaquin River - South Fork in a kayak, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Depressed Lake; Sherwin Lakes Trail is a wonderful local trail.
All through the summer months here at Depressed Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Depressed Lake. This
 
               lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Mountain Trail, and Infant Buttes is clearly visible from Depressed Lake. The Mammoth Rock Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a fine choice.
Depressed Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Mammoth Mountain. Depressed Lake is pretty dried out generally; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
You clearly have to fancy the Central Sierra Nevada. A trip to Devils Postpile National Monument is worthwhile, and a good close by hotel is Mammoth Creek Inn.
