Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not have a look at Tooth Lake next to Den Lake; you can spot Feather Peak from Den Lake. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. A beautiful lake like Bear Paw Lake close to Den Lake is a great spot to stop by, and if you're looking for a glorious spree, Devils Postpile National Monument       is rather near. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Den Lake is pretty dried up frequently; most of the rain falls throughout January, and June meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the summer months here at Den Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures                  at Den Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Mosquito Flat Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - South Fork. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do near Den Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Den Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Inlet Campground.
