This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place to camp here at Deer Lake is Deadman Campground, and Post Corral Canyon is a wonderful location to visit. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Best Value Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Baker Campground if you're here at Deer Lake. So much fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada,       just extraordinary. A fine location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Deer Lake is Cherry Creek - West Fork. Lakes are great; Buck Lakes is a lake that's next to Deer Lake. Summertime highs at Deer Lake generally tend to be in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Deer Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Life's too short                  to enjoy all the amusing things in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dodge Ridge has good slopes and a friendly staff, and Spring Meadow is a delightful site any time of year. Deer Lake is a wet location that gets much precipitation; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be.
