Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Stoney Point Campground is a good site to camp, naturally you could also stop at Summit Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Deer Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. Deer Lake gets

a normal amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest.

Trinity River is a pleasant whitewater spot near Deer Lake, and since you're here at Deer Lake it's a pleasant idea to pop by Black Basin. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more fun stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. You can run the rapids of Coffee Creek in the neighborhood of Deer Lake.

I worked at a couple marinas in the late 70's and early 80's. The fishing was great, skiing was great, camping was great! Yep, a GREAT place to work or live near. The BEST for a vacation away from the city....

Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's.   Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge.  Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California....
