What a nice lake Deer Lake is. Yeah, come up here to the Santa Rosa Mountains for a fine time. Dry warm beds await you at San Vicente Resort, and camping is available at Pinezanita Trailer Ranch. If you need a site to stay Ayres Inn Alpine is a nice choice. Lakes are fine; Lake Sutherland is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Deer Lake. Deer Lake is located in the Santa Rosa Mountains.
Go for a hike on the Middle Peak Loop Trail, and camping at Bishop Stevens

| | Campground is always a tremendous experience. Through the warm months at Deer Lake highs are regularly in the 80's; the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, generally in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Deer Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 2, and as expected, this is a nice neighborhood for people who like lakes, | |

Lake Cuyamaca is a lake close at hand.
If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great world it would be. Good hiking is available along the Monument Trail. The annual rain here at Deer Lake is about average;
the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture.

They are open again! www.LosCoyotes.info...The Los Coyotes Indian Reservation is closed to the public for ORV, hicking, and camping. As of now, we do not have any date(s) set for re opening. All info on the reservation can be found at WWW.LosCoyotes.info. Thank You...Los Coyotes campgrounds appear closed. I drove by today (9/17/2005) and closed signs were posted with trespassers will be arrested warnings. What's up?... |

Our family used to live in Reno, NV and would go to Grovers often. We loved to camp in the area and loved the hot springs and swimming pool. In the nice weather hiking was a favorite thing for us to do then take a long wonderful soak. In the winter we loved to use the hot springs and watch the snow falling down. We now live back Chicago and visit Reno at least once a year - Grovers is always a place we visit while there. As wonderful as Chicago is we truly miss Grovers! ... |

I have stayed here a few times and every time has been a very pleasurable time. I have stayed in the Hotel part of the resort and the rooms are great, Clean and stocked with fresh towels and supplys. I have also stayed in a RV spot with MY trailer and the hookups are great. The price is great and the location is top notch. This is a great place to stay in the desert.Two swimming pools and two jacuzzi's make it special after that long hike.
