And that's not all there is to do here in the Klamath Mountains. Looking for something next to Deep Lake? Buckhorn Lake is close by; drift down the rapids of Scott River in a kayak. Deep Lake is not the only site nearby, Chinquapin Lake is a nearby lake, and Muse Meadow is a fine place. This lake is so wonderful. Indian Scotty Campground is a fine campground nearby, and do take a hike on the Garden       Gulch Trail. Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Deacon Lee Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Deep Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tanners Peak Trail; the Marble Mountains towers over Deep Lake. Spring Flat Campground is a good local campground, and the top of Boulder Peak is easily spotted from                  Deep Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn Yreka is a great site to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year at Deep Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Deep Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. All the water falling down from the sky makes Deep Lake a wet site; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
