    What a nice lake Deadman Lake is. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. From Deadman Lake you acquire a fine sight of Leavitt Peak. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Silver King Trail. During the months of summer at Deadman Lake highs are generally in the 80's;  
   the overnight is a bit colder of course, frequently in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Deadman Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
Near Deadman Lake you come across delightful places like Blue Canyon, and don't leave Deadman Lake without first going for a hike along the Early Emigrant and Indian Trail. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Deadman Lake is West
 
               Walker River; camping at Baker Campground is always a great experience. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.
So many enjoyable things to do here at Deadman Lake, too wonderful to be true. If you came to camp Deadman Campground is a fine place to do that; there's brilliant hiking along the Corral Valley Trail. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Blue Canyon Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Dodge Ridge. It is very dried up here at Deadman Lake frequently; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
