Do stop by Deadman Lake while you're in this part of California. This lake is so wonderful. Chapman Creek Campground is a great local campground, and get wet paddling on Yuba River - North Fork. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Lincoln Valley is close to Deadman Lake and is a good site; obviously Carvin Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth a visit. So many exciting things to do

Deadman Lake is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Sierra Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby; nearby you come across the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Soda Springs is one of those things you just ought to do; if you get bored of Deadman Lake you could also have a look at close by Lower Sardine Lake. await you at Chalet View Lodge, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Deer Lake Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the
cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Sand Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Haskell Peak Trail. At Deadman Lake you can observe Deadman Peak, and float down the
rapids of Fordyce Creek in a kayak. Deadman Lake is a good place of normal rain; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summer at Deadman Lake comes with high temperatures in
the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Deadman Lake. Very wonderful scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Royal Gorge.
