Why not stop by Deadman Lake if you're passing through these parts. So many cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Camping is available at Sierra Campground, and the skiing at Soda Springs is good. This lake is so wonderful. If you fancy a little side journey, try Lincoln Valley, and Yuba River - North Fork has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. Any time is a delightful time at Deadman Lake if you adore the outdoors. Hiking

| | is a popular thing to do around Deadman Lake; Haskell Peak Trail is a good local trail, and a glorious place to camp here at Deadman Lake is Chapman Creek Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Paddling on Fordyce Creek is so much fun, and if you need a spot to stay Chalet View Lodge is a delightful choice. at Sand Pond, it's a delightful lake. During the days of summer at Deadman Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs
in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Deadman Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15, and a day on the slopes of Royal Gorge is just what you need. The amount
of rainfall that falls at Deadman Lake is close to the national average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern
Sierra Nevada. The view of striking Deadman Peak near Deadman Lake is good; why not take a refreshing hike along the Deer Lake Trail.
