The beauty of Deadman Lake is reason enough to stop by. Deadman Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The annual rain here at Deadman Lake is about average; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Soda Springs close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Royal Gorge has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and if you're looking for some flowing water?

| | Try Carvin Creek. There are some nice whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek; camping at Deadman Lake is fine fun, Chapman Creek Campground is a fine local campground. Deadman Peak is lovely and can be distinguished from Deadman Lake, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Haskell Peak Trail.
