Deadman Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The annual rain here at Deadman Lake is about average; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Soda Springs close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Royal Gorge has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and if you're looking for some flowing water?       Try Carvin Creek. There are some nice whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek; camping at Deadman Lake is fine fun, Chapman Creek Campground is a fine local campground. Deadman Peak is lovely and can be distinguished from Deadman Lake, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Haskell Peak Trail. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is wonderful here at Deadman Lake, you                  can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15; if you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - North Fork offers some good whitewater. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Deadman Lake is a magnificent place to camp, Sierra Campground is a magnificent place. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. For the period of the long summer days here at Deadman Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's with nighttime lows in the 40's.
