Why not stop by Dark Lake if you're passing through these parts. So many cool things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too good to be true. Hiking along the Windmiller Trail is good fun, and Dark Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Eagle Rock Campground is a pleasant local campground. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sierra at Tahoe if you're here; a great place to camp here at Dark Lake is Thirty-nine Mile Campground.

| | You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area in the vicinity of Dark Lake has to offer. Going for a hike along the Red Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and dry warm beds await you at Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley.

time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Dark Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are mostly in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Dark Lake temperatures descend to the
10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great spot to spend a night or two; Dark Lake is not the only site close
by, Pearl Lake is a close by lake. Dark Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July is the month with the least moisture.
You can run the rapids of American
River - South Fork in the vicinity of Dark Lake, and a nice site like Fourth of July Flat here at Dark Lake is too good to miss. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Homewood is one of those things you just have to do; Silver Creek - South Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby.
