After a long day outdoors Best Western Trailside Inn is a great place to spend a night or two; Sully's Trailer Lodge is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Alturas, unsurprisingly you could also check out French Reservoir since you're here; it's       not far at all. Dannhauser Reservoir is pretty dry frequently; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. At Dannhauser Reservoir during the warm months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dannhauser Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Poison                  Flat Trail is always a good adventure; if you've had enough of Dannhauser Reservoir, Payne Reservoir is nearby. Just can't get enough of Dannhauser Reservoir.
