During the warm days of summer highs here at Dana Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while Dana Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. Dana Lake is generally a rather dried up location; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is October. If the weather is tremendous here at Dana Lake, you can go for a hike

| | along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and a visit to Dana Plateau revitalizes the soul. All year is a nice time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. A delightful nearby hotel is Yosemite Gateway Motel; while you're here, you could also have a look at gorgeous Kidney Lake. But wait, there's more to do next to Dana Lake. Ellery Lake Campground while you're here at Dana Lake, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is a glorious hiking trail nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Central Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike along
the Gaylor Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you came for an overnight stay Tioga Junction Campground is a magnificent place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Tenaya Creek is a magnificent
whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Dana Lake. Dana Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby June Mountain, and if you need a spot to stay Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant choice.
