You could also check out Ellery Lake if you're here at Dana Lake; it's close by, and dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. Mount Dana can be seen from Dana Lake. There's so much to do here at Dana Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tioga Junction Campground is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. You completely should fancy the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking       is a popular thing to do around Dana Lake; Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is a good local trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Tenaya Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Dana Lake without first going for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and you can stay the night at Ellery Lake Campground. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do near Dana Lake. Good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and the best                  way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by June Mountain. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dana Plateau is a great location, and after a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Dana Lake is a location that is rather dried out ordinarily; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month is October. Dana Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Dana Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's.
