Don't leave Cushman Lake without first going for a hike along the Crooked Tree Trail, and if the weather is delightful, you get a tremendous view of Bald Mountain from Cushman Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a tremendous time at Cushman Lake if you love the outdoors. There's great hiking along the Smoke Howe Trail, and camping is available at Atchison Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Black Butte       River is a fine whitewater spot near Cushman Lake, and don’t forget to take a look at Hells Half Acre since you're here at Cushman Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Cushman Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for Cushman Lake tend to be in the 30's. Cushman Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of January                  you get the most rain around here while July is regularly the driest month. All year is a fine time in the Klamath Mountains if you like the outdoors. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes.
