All the water falling down from the sky makes Curtz Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. People from Gardnerville Ranchos love       to come to Curtz Lake, and you can run the rapids of Carson River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is always a fine adventure; if you've had enough of Curtz Lake, Summit Lake is nearby. You truly must have a thing about the Northern Sierra Nevada. Near Curtz Lake you hit upon the Charity Valley Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Curtz Lake is great enough to spend more than a day                  at, Turtle Rock Campgrounds is a great local campground. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Best Western Minden Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and you're most likely hooked on lakes, Stevens Lake is one of those close by. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This place is so good, just explore all the fun things to do close to Curtz Lake. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Curtz Lake called the Burnside Lake Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Hot Springs Creek is a stream you can have a look at while you're here. Through the warm months at Curtz Lake highs are usually in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Curtz Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Heavenly is a brilliant local ski area.
