Throughout the summertime months at Curtis Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Curtis Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Curtis Lake. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. While it was not anything special or out of the ordinary, the staff was friendly and accomodating and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I would suggest Fowlers to any family wanting just a nice vacation together, but if you are a camping enthusiast and are used to having high standards for your camping experience, you may want to search around a bit more before you decide to stay at Fowlers as it may be a bit more mediocre than what you are used to camping at. ... |
