If you are in Nevada county it's always a good idea to stop by Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Yuba River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Crystal Lake, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Big Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Crystal Lake you can take a hike along the Grouse Ridge Trail, and places like Lake Valley are magnificent to check out.

Lake commonly gets a lot of precipitation; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Crystal Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. All through the
dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Crystal Lake descend into the 20's. In case
you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Crystal Lake has to offer, you can camp at Indian Springs Campground. So much exciting stuff in
the Northern Sierra Nevada, just remarkable. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Royal Gorge, and if you've had enough of Crystal Lake, Eagle Lakes is nearby. The Mears Lake Valley Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Crystal Lake, and swing by Rattlesnake Creek it's a splendid place to visit.
