    Why not stop by Crystal Lake if you're passing through these parts. Dry warm beds await you at Juniper Springs Resort; a day on the slopes of June Mountain is just what you need. At Crystal Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Crystal Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. That right  
   there is a heap of amusing things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Reds Meadow Campground is a brilliant location to camp.
Going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and do set aside some time for Bottomless Pit since you're here at Crystal
 
               Lake. Crystal Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful.
Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. A short visit to Twin Falls is always worthwhile, and if you have time to spare, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth stopping at. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Crystal Lake. There's whitewater on Mono Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and while you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Snowcreek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail is delightful fun, and swing by Cold Water Creek it's a nice location to pop by.
I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Crystal Lake. If you need a spot to stay 1849 Condos at Canyon Lodge is a delightful choice, and why not head up to Mammoth Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Crystal Crag is clearly visible from Crystal Lake; you could always look at Mammoth Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Barrett is close to Crystal Lake, and do take a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail.
Crystal Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; January is the month that gets the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a perfect time. If you're interested in cool geologic traits, try The Thumb, and why not camp at Cold Water Campground if you're here at Crystal Lake.
