     While you're here at Crown Lake, you could also pop by gorgeous Robinson Lakes, and get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of West Walker River. Man, is there heaps of amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. A tour to Mule Pass is always fun, and some exciting geology is available here, The Slide is right here. You absolutely have to fancy the Central Sierra Nevada. If the weather is good here at Crown Lake, you can go for a hike along  
   the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12; a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Tuolumne River.
Crown Lake is mostly a quite waterless location; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is September. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Crown Lake called the Gaylor Lakes Trail. So much exciting stuff to do here at Crown Lake, too glorious to be true. On a pleasant day at Crown Lake you
 
               can take a hike along the Ten Lakes Trail, and on a delightful day you obtain a magnificent panorama of Cirque Mountain from Crown Lake.
At Crown Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Crown Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Crown Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Snow Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you came to camp Buckeye Campground is a tremendous place to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Ahwahnee. There's so much to do here at Crown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Paho Campground is a great location for that.
