Summertime highs at Crooked Lakes typically tend to be in the 90's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Crooked Lakes dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. So much amusing stuff to do at Crooked Lakes, so little time. Skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just       ought to do, and dry warm beds await you at Rainbow Lodge. So many entertaining things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. There are plenty of people from Truckee-Grass Valley here at Crooked Lakes, and you can go for a hike on the Bowman Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. South Fork Canyon Creek is in the vicinity of Crooked Lakes and is always a pleasure to pop by, and going for a hike on the Round Lake Trail is always                  a magnificent adventure. The annual precipitation here at Crooked Lakes is about average; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. The vista of Bowman Mountain from Crooked Lakes is pretty, and there are other places here than Crooked Lakes, for example Bullpen Lake. All year is a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you adore the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Crooked Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Grouse Ridge Campground is a pleasant location for that, and paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun. Fordyce Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you need a place to stay Shinneyboo Creek Cabin Resort is a wonderful choice. Really great skiing awaits you at Soda Springs. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail near Crooked Lakes called the Crooked Lakes Trail, and if you came to camp Carr-Feeley Campground is a great site to do that.
