This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Mount Silliman from Crescent Lake is scenic; get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Kaweah River - Middle Fork. All through the days of summer here at Crescent Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the       winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Crescent Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail next to Crescent Lake called the Sheep Creek Trail; if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites Sequoia Kings Canyon is a glorious choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Crescent Lake. The High Sierra Trail is a                  nice hiking trail close to Crescent Lake, and Silliman Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is one of the destinations next to Crescent Lake that are perfect to go to; a tremendous site for whitewater paddling is Kaweah River. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. Take a side trip to Horse Creek, and camping at Log Bridge Campground is always a pleasant experience. A delightful spot in the vicinity of Crescent Lake is Crowley Canyon, and camping is available at Aspen Hollow - Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Don Cecil Trail is always a wonderful adventure; do take a look at Beville Lake, it's a scenic lake.
