     Throughout the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Crescent Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Crescent Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Yosemite National Park is a very delightful spot to take a look at close to Crescent Lake, and going for a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail will let you absorb the  
   natural beauty of this area. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a nice time. dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a glorious place to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Merced River - South Fork offers some delightful whitewater.
Hit the slopes at Badger Pass in the neighborhood. If the weather is brilliant here at Crescent Lake, you can go for a hike along the Chilnualna Fall Trail; you'll discover a delightful lake called Johnson Lake. You
 
               believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. At Crescent Lake you can distinguish Buena Vista Peak, and if you came to camp Little Sandy Campground is a tremendous place to do that.
Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. Crescent Creek is a perfect location to stop at. There's so much to do here at Crescent Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fresno Dome Campground is a delightful place for that. On a nice day at Crescent Lake you can take a hike along the Buena Vista Trail, and a pretty lake like Grouse Lake is a nice location to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Creek.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. The high level of rainfall makes Crescent Lake a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain while July is mostly the driest month.
