Not far from Crescent Lake, you'll find Johnson Lake which is a stunning lake, and Yosemite National Park is a perfect local destination. Just can't get enough of Crescent Lake. If you're here at Crescent Lake, you could have a look at Crescent Creek, and there's good hiking along the Buena Vista Trail. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Crescent Lake get into the 80's.       Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Crescent Lake during the wintertime frequently sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Little Sandy Campground is a splendid spot to do that; from Crescent Lake you acquire a great sight of Buena Vista Peak. So much cool stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just impressive. Good hiking is available along                  the Chilnualna Fall Trail. There's so much to do here at Crescent Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fresno Dome Campground is a good location for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Crescent Lake a wet spot; through the month of January you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Merced River - South Fork, and don't leave Crescent Lake without first going for a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail. Crescent Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Badger Pass is a very popular ski area close at hand, and dry warm beds await you at dnc -- Wawona Hotel. Get drenched paddling on Big Creek. And that's not all you can do here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
