Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE is a great site to get some rest, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Warren Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Yuba River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Lola Montez Trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Boreal since you're here; whitewater       paddling is perfect on Fordyce Creek. All the outdoors exciting stuff close to Crater Lake will keep you coming back persistently. Andesite Peak is a peak you can make out from Crater Lake. Crater Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is when it's the driest. Some of the water close by flows, like Upper Castle Creek. There's so much to do here at Crater Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Van Norden Campground is a brilliant place for that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Inn at Truckee is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and nearby you discover great sites like Castle Pass. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is great! You could also go to West Lakes if you're here at Crater Lake; it's nearby; nearby you discover the Heath Falls Overlook Trail which is a good hiking trail. Summertime highs at Crater Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows at Crater Lake all through the wintertime frequently dip into the 20's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Sugar Bowl, and Sugar Bowl is right here at Crater Lake. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Crater Lake is peerless!
