If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Crater Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Crater Lake is a spot with many visitors from Gardnerville Ranchos, and the summit of Red Lake Peak can be spotted from Crater Lake. So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. If you need a place to stay Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a good choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail.

| | The slopes of Kirkwood are so inviting noone can resist, and Kit Carson is an interesting thing to observe if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Carson River - East Fork, and Woods Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the area in the neighborhood of Crater Lake has to offer. a delightful campground nearby, and if you're here, you might as well visit Carson Pass. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 70's at Crater Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. Highs all through
the wintertime are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Crater Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Crater Lake. Not far from Crater Lake, you'll locate Frog Lake which is a charming lake. Whitewater
paddling is glorious on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Charity Valley Trail.
