     So many exciting things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too good to be true. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Lake Genevieve, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Silver Creek - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Hidden Lake is a lake that's next to Crag Lake, and during your stay here do take a look at nearby Calawee Cove Beach.
Through
 
   the days of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Crag Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Crag Lake. Man, is there loads of entertaining things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There is a perfect hiking trail in the vicinity of Crag Lake called the General Creek Trail; everybody nearby loves skiing at Sierra  
               at Tahoe. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Crag Lake. The skiing at Homewood is wonderful, and Americas Best Value Inn Tahoe City/Lake Tahoe is a tremendous place to get some rest.
You completely ought to go for the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 is always a glorious adventure; Phipps Pass is a delightful spot to spend some time. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Crag Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Eagle Falls Campground is a splendid local campground, and there are good places to explore along the Red Peak Trail. From Crag Lake you acquire a perfect vista of Rubicon Peak, and you'll probably meet some folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here.
If you came to camp Meeks Bay Resort & Marina is a brilliant location to do that, and a day at Lester Beach is time well spent. Crag Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The annual rainfall here at Crag Lake is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend American River - South Fork, and if you need a location to stay Granlibakken Lodge and Conference Center is a nice choice.
