It's always fun to stop by Crag Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Pepper Tree Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Homewood. For the period of the summertime highs here at Crag Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Crag Lake are in the 10's. This place is unbeatable, just check out

| | all the amusing things to do near Crag Lake. Why not camp at Eagle Falls Campground since you're here at Crag Lake; you can go for a hike on the General Creek Trail.

Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is abundant here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The snow is wonderful at Sierra at Tahoe, and a magnificent
site nearby is Phipps Pass. The top of Rubicon Peak is easily observed from Crag Lake, and Calawee Cove Beach is a scenic beach to pop by. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Stony Ridge Lake, and
there are some delightful whitewater spots on Silver Creek - South Fork.
Any time is a delightful time at Crag Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. A day at stunning Lester Beach in the neighborhood of Crag Lake is a pleasant
thing to do; camping is available at Meeks Bay Resort & Marina. This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Red Peak Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. Good hiking is available along the
Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and if you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Crag Lake is close to the national average; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is when it's the driest.
