Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and Baker Campground is a good campground here. And that's not all you can do here at Coyote Lake. Best Value Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a brilliant place to get some rest. A striking lake like Deer Lake in the neighborhood of Coyote Lake is a delightful location to explore, and why not head up to Dodge Ridge and strap some       skis to your feet. Coyote Lake gets lots of water; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is typically the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. High temperatures at Coyote Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at                  Coyote Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Leighton Dam in the vicinity of Coyote Lake, and Post Corral Canyon is in close proximity, and is a glorious site. So many cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time.
