Not much precipitation falls here at Cowboy Lake; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Cowboy Lake has it all. If time allows, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a national park worth visiting. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cowboy Lake has to offer, you can camp       at Rocky Knoll Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Caribou Lake is a lake that's close to Cowboy Lake; Caribou Peak is clearly visible from Cowboy Lake. Cowboy Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. And that's not all the things to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. You're most likely keen on lakes, Emerald Lake is one of those close by, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Rose Quartz Inn is a great spot to                  spend a night or two. Throughout the warm months at Cowboy Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Cowboy Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. A swamp like Cooper Swamp right next door to Cowboy Lake has lots of interesting things to see, and you can stay the night at Silver Bowl Campground.
