     California has many beautiful lakes and Council Lake is one of them. Having a fine time at Council Lake is uncomplicated. While you're here at Council Lake, you could also stop at beautiful Aweetasal Lake, and East Pinnacles Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Sherwin Lakes Trail; camping is available at Mosquito Flat Campground. What would winter be without  
   some skiing at Mammoth Mountain; visiting Devils Postpile National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
Council Lake is frequently a quite dried up spot; January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is June. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hutchinson Meadow is a gorgeous site any time of year, and you acquire a great sight of Gemini from here. Council Lake is one of
 
               the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
So much fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just astonishing. High temperatures at Council Lake during the warm months are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Council Lake are in the 20's. A good spot to camp here at Council Lake is Lower Blayney Campground, and San Joaquin River - South Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby.
