After a long day outdoors Best Western Frontier Motel is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and you'll come across a delightful lake called Hidden Lake. Cottonwood Lakes is located in the Southern Sierra Nevada. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Big Cottonwood Meadows is a fine place to stretch your legs a bit, and a perfect location is Army Pass.       Cottonwood Lakes is generally a relatively dehydrated site; January is when you get the most rain here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There's so much to do here at Cottonwood Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Locust Grove Campground is a perfect spot for that; Cottonwood Lakes is a place with many visitors from Bishop. This lake is so wonderful. This lake                  is so wonderful. You get a glorious panorama of Cirque Peak from Cottonwood Lakes, and there are some great whitewater spots on Kern River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cottonwood Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Tuttle Creek Campground, and Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a tremendous place to get some rest. This place, the Southern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing things. A wonderful lake like South Fork Lakes in the vicinity of Cottonwood Lakes is a brilliant location to stop at, and the Mount Whitney Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Cottonwood Lakes. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's.
