When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Coronet Lake. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is peerless! Lakes? Sure, Beartrap Lake is in the neighborhood; if you come at the right time of year, Mono Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake       is so wonderful. Mount Hilgard is trouble-free to spot from Coronet Lake. Coronet Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. Looking for a brilliant spree? Devils Postpile National Monument is quite close to Coronet Lake, and after a long day outdoors Mammoth Creek Inn is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Mammoth Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; camping at Lower Blayney Campground is always a                  wonderful experience. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The Sherwin Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - South Fork. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a delightful choice, and not far from Coronet Lake you'll stumble on Little Bear Lake which is a pretty lake. Coronet Lake gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
